Chef Silvane Ferreira, born in Alvinópolis, Minas Gerais, Brazil, carries with her a life story shaped by humility, perseverance, and a deep love for cooking. From a young age, she learned the value of hard work and the joy of caring for others—a foundation that would later guide her journey into the culinary world.

Seeking new opportunities and driven by a courageous spirit, Silvane moved to Portugal, where she embraced new challenges and began building the life she had always envisioned. It was during her 10 years working in the restaurant industry that she discovered her true calling: creating food that warms the heart and brings people together.

This passion inspired her to take a bold step and open her own space. What started as a simple café soon evolved into Cantinho do Sol, the restaurant that reflects her essence—authentic flavours, generous hospitality, and the comforting feeling of being welcomed like family. Despite the difficulties brought by the pandemic shortly after opening, Silvane’s resilience, faith, and unwavering dedication allowed her to overcome every obstacle and keep her dream alive.

Today, Chef Silvane is celebrated for her heartfelt approach to cooking. Every dish she prepares carries her signature balance of tradition, creativity, and affection. For her, food is not just nourishment—it is a way to connect people, honour memories, and brighten everyday moments.
